Week 1 Web Architecture

As I have seen from many others, I too am a first time blogger.  Seems pretty straight forward and easy to use though!

During this first week of classes I have done hours of reading... I just finished with the Web Architecture reading assignments.  Am I the only one who gets slightly overwhelmed by the amount of reading?  I feel as though I spend hours reading, and then I feel like I retain nothing when it comes to technical reading such as this.  Maybe that is because I am more of a hands on learner.  I can read it and comprehend it, but until I utilize it myself, it doesn't seem to stick.  Regardless, it was a nice refresher, especially chapter 4, with familiarizing with Linux commands.  I have minimal Linux experience from the past, but I do look forward to understanding Linux a little better.

I am about to begin the lab for this week now.  Looking forward to the lab, because I am looking forward to utilizing some of what I have read about this week and getting a better grasp on Linux altogether.

I will update this post if I find anything detrimental from the lab that I feel I should share with the rest of the class.
